Creality Printers – DACAI and DWIN Color LCDs

What LCD do I have?

Creality uses color LCDs with a rotary encoder on the Ender 3 V2 and Ender 3 S1. There are 2 vendors for these LCDs but you cannot determine what one you have unless you remove the back from the LCD housing. Below are pictures of the 2 LCDs.

Converting the DACAI to a 12864

Currently, our firmware only works correctly (and most other Marlin firmware aside from stock) with the DWIN version. The DACAI “works” but it has display corruption issues that are not yet resolved.

If you have a DACAI LCD currently and want to use our firmware and/or upgrades on your Ender 3 V2 or Ender 3 S1 then you can replace the LCD with a 12864 LCD kit that we carry.

Future Support?

The DACAI may get full support from Marlin in the future and if it does we will add it into our firmware. Until then the only way to get a fully working printer and firmware with our Unified 2 and/or upgrades that require a firmware upgrade is to change out the LCD screen with one of our LCD kits.

Because these are closed source LCDs and we do not develop code for them we do not have any ETA on when the DACAI type LCDs will get supported.
