Why do you want this upgrade?
A lot of machines come with extruders that are made of plastic and/or have weak tension springs. This brings to the table a very strong spring and all-metal construction. It’s a solid upgrade for many machines, especially Creality printers with plastic extruders. This extruder is a great budget option for making sure your prints actually get the filament they need without having to worry about a plastic one breaking or a weak spring preventing filament from being fed correctly. Looking for something that is geared for 3x the torque? Check out our Higher end Tough Extruder V2.
Some Creality machines are now shipping with press-fit extruder gears. See here for removal tips: Press-fit Removal
“Insert Random Internet Site Here” has this cheaper.
Looks can be deceiving. You don’t know the actual quality of all the parts that go into the extruder until you get it. With TH3D you get guaranteed quality. We always source our parts from only a few trusted suppliers and on top of that, we check all the parts when receiving inventory to make sure they are what they should be. No waiting a month from China to get something only to have the quality be poor or parts missing. Meaning you always get a smooth-moving extruder with a high-quality spring every time.
Our springs are sourced separately from the rest of the parts to have higher tension than others that *look* similar. Our after-sales service actually knows these parts and machines so if you have questions or a problem we actually can help, in English, you get up and running.
As an additional bonus, we include the much more wear-resistant steel gear that will not wear out fast like the brass ones do over time. Oh yeah! We also provide technical support from our US support team should you need it (unlike the other sellers).

Recommend esteps for 1/16 stepping: 95 steps/mm Includes all screws to mount and assemble, bearing for filament guide, 1 PTFE Fitting, tension spring, and steel feeder gear.
When assembling this do NOT overtighten any of the screws or fittings as you can damage and/or break the extruder.
It’s maybe my 4th or 5th time I get this extruder. It’s a solid replacement for the plastic mk8 extruder in the classic Ender 3s.
I got now 4 of these for a MMU project, as they fit perfectly the bill.
I like this extruder but I wish I had more help with installation and giving a heads about adjusting my E-Steps and Flow Rate. Thankfully for youtube I’m figuring it out.

Well this fixed the issue with my Under Extrusion for the past 6 month on why my printer wasn’t working. Until I found the crack on the Extruder level which was indeed needed to be replace. So I recommend getting this if you still using the OEM Extruder from creality for the Ender 3.
I was worried about the plastic on my stock extruder on my Ender 5 breaking. This bad boy solved the worry issue. Will be upgrading all my printers now.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone with an Ender 3 V2. The steel gear is such an improvement over the brass and my print quality has increased since installing this.
It has worked well for me and been a solid replacement for the stock Creality extruder on my Ender 5 Plus. I would recommend this for anyone that is looking to replace the stock extruder.
I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out what was wrong with my brand new Ender 3 V2. The stock extruder gear was already worn out after only two weeks. Thankfully, I found TH3D and ordered the kit. Within minutes of watching the detailed installation video, my brand new printer was up and running. If you buy any new printer, this is the first thing you need to replace. Then get you a new EXFlex Bed! Thank you, Tor for the awesome customer service and Tim for the detailed video!
