Printer Adapter Plates for MultiMount System

Description

At its core, the MultiMount is an aluminum base that attaches to the existing screw standoffs on the hot-end carriage of printers such as the Ender 3, Ender 5, and CR-10, among others. It provides a rigid clamping system that is compatible with any V6-style or V6-compatible groove mount, keeping your chosen hot-end securely in place. The MultiMount’s compatibility with groove-mount hot-ends opens up a vast array of build possibilities for Creality users.

Have your eye on our Tough All-Metal Hot-end? Mounting it has never been easier! Simply clamp it in place. Drooling over a Slice Engineering Mosquito (requires the groove mount adapter from Slice)? The MultiMount can do that. How about a Phaetus Dragonfly BMO for a shiny aesthetic? The MultiMount can fit these hot-ends and more!

The MultiMount is also a truly modular system for attaching accessories such as fans, bed-leveling sensors, and more! Our team has been hard at work designing and testing accessories based on common builds and customer requests. It has mounting positions for accessories on the left, right, and top sides which allow for a vast array of different hot-end builds.

Note: The MultiMount System is compatible with stock Creality carriages for the printers listed in our compatibility list. May not be compatible with aftermarket carriages.

The MultiMount System has a modular design, allowing for a wide variety of printed accessories. There are mounting positions on the left and right side for accessories such as fan ducts and ABL mounts. There are also two screw positions on the top face for use with direct-drive adapters, strain-relief/cable management parts, and more.

V1 vs V2?

Many people stated that the cost of the V1 was too high so the V2 is 50% lower cost then the V1. After working with overseas machinists we bring you the V2 that is designed in the USA and Made in China by a supplier we’ve been using for 6+ years for other metal parts we sell. The V2 version also does away with one toolpath on the clamp which also lowers the cost. All MultiMount addons are compatible with the V1 and V2. We QC EVERY V2 bracket to ensure you get a quality product even at the lower price. All printed parts are still 100% designed and made in the USA by TH3D.

What comes with the MultiMount System kit?

The MultiMount System also includes access to our STL package, which includes STL files for all of the accessories we’ve designed, such as fan ducts, sensor mounts, direct-drive adapters, and more!

Printer Compatibility List

TH3D Tested:

The MultiMount System base and clamp have been tested by our staff to work with several standard Creality carriages, including:

  • CR-10/CR-10S models (CR-10, Mini, S4, S5 with standard Creality X carriages)
  • Ender 3, Ender 3 Pro, Ender 3 V2
  • Ender 5, Ender 5 Pro, Ender 5 Plus (accessories specific to these models are available)

  • Micro Swiss direct-drive brackets for Creality printers (several reasons, including alignment of the extruder vs. hot-end, design of the standoffs for the hot-end, etc.)

Printer not listed here?

The MultiMount System is considered a “universal” part that should fit most printers that use Creality’s hot-end screw positions. The MultiMount base and clamp may also be compatible with non-Creality printers. If your printer is not listed here, that means we have not tested it in-house and cannot guarantee compatibility.

Hot-end not listed here?

The MultiMount System is designed to work with any V6-compatible collar/groove mount. There may be hot-ends with collar/groove mounts that do not work with the Multi Mount due to variables such as heatsink size or shape, non-standard collar size or shape, manufacturing or product differences, etc.

If your hot-end is not listed here, that means we have not tested or verified fitment and cannot guarantee compatibility. If you have questions or concerns about compatibility, please contact us for assistance.


Top Addon Accessory Types and Descriptions

Strain Relief and Clamp – This is a two-part strain relief/cable guide that attaches to the top mounting points of the MultiMount System. This includes the strain relief base and a clamp to hold the cables and PTFE tubing in place.

  • Requires 2x M3x10mm screws to attach the strain relief base to the MultiMount base.
  • Also requires 2x M3x12mm screws and 2x M3 hex nuts to attach the strain relief clamp to the strain relief base.

Direct Drive Mount – Tough Extruder V2 – This bracket is used to convert a Bowden setup into Direct Drive based on our Tough Extruder V2. Also works with Bondtech BMG and clones.

  • Requires 2x M3x10mm screws to attach the Direct Drive Mount to the top of the MultiMount base.
  • Also requires the screws from the Tough Extruder V2 to hold the extruder and motor to the Direct Drive Mount.
  • This setup will also require a length of PTFE tubing to run between the hot-end and the Tough Extruder V2. Please see our installation instructions for more details.
  • We highly recommend using a pancake stepper motor with our Direct Drive mount, as it both saves weight and avoids collisions with the frame on CR-10/Ender 3 style machines.

40mm Heatsink Fan Mount, Generic version – This bracket can be used to attach a 40mm fan to the MultiMount System for the purpose of heatsink cooling. The generic version of this mount sits directly in front of the hot-end’s heatsink and does not have any additional ducting, making it perfect for use with most hot-ends on the market.

  • Requires 2x M3x10mm screws to attach the Heatsink Fan Mount to the MultiMount base.
  • Also requires additional screws to attach the fan to the Heatsink Fan Mount. In most cases, these screws can be repurposed from the existing fan shroud.

Direct Drive Mount – Tough Extruder V2 Rotated  – This bracket is used to convert a Bowden setup into Direct Drive based on our Tough Extruder V2. Also works with Bondtech BMG and clones.

  • Requires 2x M3x10mm screws to attach the Direct Drive Mount to the top of the MultiMount base.
  • Also requires the screws from the Tough Extruder V2 to hold the extruder and motor to the Direct Drive Mount.
  • This setup will also require a length of PTFE tubing to run between the hot-end and the Tough Extruder V2. Please see our installation instructions for more details.

Direct Drive Mount – LGX Lite Rotated – This bracket is used to convert a Bowden setup into Direct Drive based on the LGX Lite from Bondtech.

  • Requires 2x M3x10mm screws to attach the Direct Drive Mount to the top of the MultiMount base.
  • Requires 2x M3x10mm screws to attach the LGX Lite to the Direct Drive Mount.
  • This setup will also require a length of PTFE tubing to run between the hot-end and the extruder. Please see our installation instructions for more details.

Direct Drive Mount – Sherpa Mini – This bracket is used to convert a Bowden setup into Direct Drive based on the Sherpa Mini Extruder.

  • Requires 2x M3x10mm screws to attach the Direct Drive Mount to the top of the MultiMount base.
  • Requires 2x M3x10mm screws to attach the Sherpa Mini to the Direct Drive Mount.

Direct Drive Mount – Orbiter V2 – This bracket is used to convert a Bowden setup into Direct Drive based on the Orbiter V2.

  • Requires 2x M3x10mm screws to attach the Direct Drive Mount to the top of the MultiMount base.
  • Requires 2x M3x10mm screws to attach the Orbiter V2 to the Direct Drive Mount.

Left Side Accessory Types and Descriptions

Mount Types:

*ENDER 5/ENDER5 PLUS FITMENT WARNING:

Due to physical machine constraints the EZABL and EZABL+5015 mounts do not work on the left or right side for these models. There are specific LEFT mounted versions available just for the Ender 5 and Ender 5 Plus.

5015 Fan Duct – Used to mount a 5015 blower fan to the left-hand side of our MultiMount System. Simple, yet effective.

  • Requires 1x. M3x10mm screw to attach the fan duct to the MultiMount.
  • Also requires 1x M3x22mm and 1x M3 hex nut to attach the 5015 blower fan to the duct.

EZABL Mount (18mm) – Used to mount any of our EZABL Pro™ sensors to the left-hand side of the MultiMount System. Designed for 18mm sensors, our smaller Mini and Micro EZABL sensors will require the use of their included adapter rings.

  • Requires 1x M3x10mm screw to attach the EZABL mount to the MultiMount.
  • Nozzle-to-Probe Offsets:
    • Left-mounted: [ -40, 5 ]

Combination 5015 fan + EZABL Mount – Why settle for one when you could have both? This is a one-piece mount with spots for both a 5015 blower fan and our EZABL Pro™ sensors.

  • Requires 1x M3x10mm screw to attach the 5015 + EZABL mount to the MultiMount.
  • Also requires 1x M3x22mm screw and 1x M3 hex nut to attach the 5015 blower fan to the duct.
  • Nozzle-to-Probe Offsets:

  • Requires 1x M3x10mm screw to attach the “Sneaky” mount to the MultiMount.
  • Also requires 1x M3x22mm screw and 1x M3 hex nut to attach the 5015 blower fan to the duct.
  • Nozzle-to-Probe Offsets:
    • Left-mounted: [ -20, -17 ]

BLTouch Mount – Used to mount a BLTouch or CRTouch to the left-hand side of the MultiMount System.

Manufacturing Details – The V2 aluminum bracket is designed in the USA and Made in China for TH3D with final packing and QC done in the USA. Our MultiMount accessories are designed and printed in-house by TH3D in the USA. We use Black ABS for our printed parts.

We have one in testing. Please email us once you purchase the MultiMount and we can send you the beta STL files to test out with the V1 Tough Extruder.
