Job Title: Part Time Shop & Print Processing Assistant
Location: Hobart, IN (In Person Only)
Hours: Part Time (14 to 20 hours per week)
Position Type: Contractor for first 60 days (Potential for regular employment and full time growth)
Position Overview
TH3D Studio is looking for a motivated, detail oriented individual to join our team in Hobart, Indiana. As our workload continues to increase, we need dependable, hands on help to handle post processing for our 3D prints, complete light product assembly, and maintain a clean, organized shop environment.
This is an excellent entry level opportunity for someone looking to get involved in the 3D printing industry. The position starts out at 14 to 20 hours per week. For the first 60 days, you will work as an independent contractor. If the arrangement works out well for both parties, this role will transition into an official employee position, with strong potential to expand into a full time role as our business continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Print Post Processing: Clean up completed 3D prints, remove support structures, sand rough edges, and ensure all parts meet our quality standards.
- Product Assembly: Assist with basic mechanical assembly, kitting, and packaging of hardware components and accessories.
- Shop Maintenance: Keep the workspace clean, organized, and safe. Tasks include sweeping, emptying trash, organizing inventory, and wiping down work surfaces.
- Quality Control: Inspect products and parts visually to catch defect issues before packaging.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Must be able to work in person at our Hobart, Indiana shop location.
- Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity for handling small parts and tools.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently after receiving initial training.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds when organizing the shop.
- Prior experience with 3D printing is a plus but it is absolutely not required. We will train the right candidate.
