As many of you know, we’ve been closely tracking the ongoing changes to U.S. import policy — including the massive 145% tariff on Chinese goods that was recently announced. Thankfully, those tariffs have now been paused. However, we want to be clear:
Even without the official tariff in effect, our import costs are still significantly higher than before.
Shipping rates, customs fees, and added inspection costs have all increased — and those added costs are still impacting what it takes to bring in many of the products we carry.
🔄 What We’re Doing Now
With the tariff on hold (at least temporarily), here’s what we’re doing at TH3D:
✅ Reordering key products that continue to sell well
📦 Continuing to move through current inventory with adjusted purchasing plans
👀 Closely watching trade policy changes and market conditions to stay flexible
📉 Market Trends: Lower Consumer Demand
It’s not just tariffs — we’re seeing a noticeable drop in overall consumer demand and spending. And this isn’t just us. We’ve spoken with other companies in the industry, and they’re experiencing the same trend:
Spending is down, and demand is slower across the board.
We believe this is tied to broader economic pressures and consumer uncertainty, which are affecting many small businesses right now — especially in tech and hobby sectors.
