New for V2 Version (Shipping 12/1/2024): V2 now includes more precise (laser assisted cuts), magnetically-receptive strips for the door with better adhesive on them for the magnets in the printer frame to pull the door shut resulting in easier installation and uniform sizing. Panel is unchanged and same as V1.
This is JUST for a custom cut cast acrylic replacement door panel for this printer and magnetically-receptive strips. NOTHING ELSE IS INCLUDED. Your existing hinges and handle will be re-used for the new door panel.
The pictures are just to show our actual Tough Panel on the printer this product page is for. These doors are made of acrylic, NOT glass, they will be less rigid than a glass door – this is normal. Even if a small gap is present at the top and bottom this does NOT affect printing high temp materials like ABS/ASA/Nylon.
WARNINGS – READ THIS – WARRANTY WILL BE VOID IF YOU DO ANY OF THESE THINGS BELOW
- Do NOT use loctite or any thread lockers near these panels – it will damage the door.
- Do NOT use alcohol and/or acetone based cleaners to clean. Use Windex, Plexus, or Water to clean.

Easy to install, perfectly functional and I never have to worry about shattering the original door into thousands of glass shards……..

I couldn’t ask for a better fitment and price for a replacement. And best of all you can see the project printing! Highly recommended!!

kid safe too!
Make sure to read Tims comments about installing the door and adjusting the hinges.

Got this because my stock door broke when my toddler pushed it when it was open. I did not want to risk him getting hurt again from the shards. This not only replaced my broke door but also is very clear so I can see the prints when it is going. Told a bunch of my friends about it and they love it. I did have to watch the video on closing it as my X1 hinges do bind up but pushing on the door to close it as shown in the video works perfectly. Thanks guys!

NOTE FROM TH3D STAFF: This is due to the hinge tension on the customer printer. They can adjust the hinges or close the door by pressing on the center of the door when closing it to fix this.
ORIGINAL CUSTOMER REVIEW:
I woke up twice in 4 days to an open (about an 1 inch) plastic door. My print warped. I put the stock door back on.

Hi there, if the door is coming open on its own then your hinges need to be adjusted. This is not the fault of the door but your machine hinges. See the bambu wiki on how to adjust them here: https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/x1/maintenance/front-door-mounting-kit. You can also just close the door by pressing on the center of the door. Sure is nice when you can see your print though the clear door. Also added the led light kit. It is a great combo to do together.

Picked one of these up for my X1. This with the led kit from here makes it awesome to see inside. Installed quickly and fits great.

Have a small farm of Bambu machines. Bought a couple of these to try. Installed one today. While it does improve visibility into the machine, the door flexes a lot. There is a lot of friction in the hinges, so when closing the plastic door it remains bowed out when closed. You have to push in near the hinges to get it to flatten out. The magnet pads are super thin and flimsy. They don’t have near the hold of the Bambu door. They are also wider, and without the black border, they just look cheap on an otherwise nice looking machine.
If you just want better visibility, you get that. I think I’m going to go back to the tinted glass. It’s just a better door.

If the door is bowing out then the hinges need to be adjusted. There is play in the screws that hold the hinges to the printer frame. Loosen them up and allow them to settle, then tighten down.
