Have you ever run out of filament during a print? Now you don’t have to worry! When you get the EZOut board and the filament sensor (add on above) you feed the filament through our sensor and when it runs out the printer will wait for you to load more filament into the printer so you can resume the print! Absolutely ZERO soldering required to install this. Easily add a filament sensor to your compatible 3D printer (see list below) today!
This is a full kit that includes all the cables, heatshrink (for the ezout board), firmware, and filament sensor. You will need to update your firmware which is included via download below. This kit connects to the 3-Pin “DET” port on your Sovol SV06 stock control board. Disconnect the existing cable labeled “DET” from the 3 pin port and then connect our kit. After that just update the firmware!
Installation Steps
- Connect the short cable that came with the kit to the BOARD header on the EZOut board and the other end goes to the DET port on the SV06 (there is a cable already there, unplug it).
- Connect one end of the long cable that came with the sensor to the FIL header of the EZOut board.
- Slip the heatshrink over the EZOut adapter PCB and shrink it with a hot air gun or hair dryer.
- Plug the other end of the long cable into the filament sensor
- Update the firmware. You will uncomment the SOVOL_SV06 option and the EZOUT_ENABLE option, then compile. Once compiled, put the BIN file on the SD card, power on the machine and it will update.
