We wanted to take a moment to share some important news about shipping rates and what’s happening here at TH3D Studio. As many of you may know, USPS has recently raised their rates by as much as 10% back in early July, and another increase is set to hit on September 16th. These rising costs are something we’ve been managing for a while now, and we always strive to keep things fair and transparent with you.
Free Shipping Changes
Starting today, August 27, 2024, we’re adjusting our free shipping threshold from $60 to $75. We know this isn’t the most exciting news, but we want to explain why this change is necessary. While “free” shipping is a great perk for you, it actually costs us quite a bit. Shipping fees have been steadily increasing, and this eats into our profit margins. Instead of raising the prices on our products, we’ve decided to increase the free shipping threshold to encourage larger orders, helping us manage these costs better.
Why We’re Making This Change
Over the last couple of years, we’ve seen increased costs in just about every area—product manufacturing, shipping, supplies, and employee expenses. These aren’t just numbers on a balance sheet; they directly impact our ability to keep doing what we love: providing you with the best 3D printing products and customer service.
We want to remind you that at TH3D Studio, we ONLY hire within the United States. All of our customer service, technical support, and every other position is filled by talented people right here at home. We believe this is essential for delivering the quality of service you expect and deserve.
Shipping Rates for Orders Below $75
For those of you whose orders are below the new free shipping threshold or who are ineligible for free shipping due to location, don’t worry—we’ve got you covered with discounted rates. Our shipping prices are based on real-time rates calculated by our shipping API provider, depending on the size and weight of your items. We do not inflate shipping prices; you pay what we pay, and that’s it.
