I’ve been passionate about tinkering, electronics, and computers since I was young. In 2016, I discovered 3D printing, and it quickly became more than just a hobby—it became my mission.
With over a decade of IT experience in support, project management, and systems administration, along with earning my Eagle Scout rank in 2007, I founded TH3D Studio to make 3D printing easier and more accessible. My goal is to help makers spend less time troubleshooting and more time printing.

TH3D Studio is based out of Hobart, IN. All of our team members are in the US, we do not outsource any of our positions to people outside the US. When you call or email us you will get someone in the US who knows their stuff.
Honest Reviews
Unlike other people in the 3D printing space who rely on making sales through affiliate programs, we do not. We will always be honest when reviewing a 3D printer even if there are issues.
Many channels (especially ones that work with Bambu Labs) are bound by agreements where they cannot be honest with you on negative aspects of products. If they do, they get cut off from review units. We do not typically receive free printers anymore because companies want us to omit or lie about problems with products.

Our focus is to get our customers the best products at fair prices. We’re all makers here, and we know how frustrating getting cheap parts from China is and not getting what you wanted the first time.
Everything we carry are parts and products that we use on our in-house machines to make our lives easier. There is enough to worry about in this hobby/industry so let us help simplify your 3D printing life by ensuring you get quality parts and excellent support.
When we design products, we take the time to run them through stress testing and analysis to make sure they work and last. Unlike many vendors in the 3D printing market, we do not use our customers to test our products, we sell products that work and are free of major design flaws.

Solid UPS - Heads-up for buyers

Great UPS - no issues with the unit itself. Solid build, great quality. The two items to be aware of have nothing to do with the unit itself, but more so things I wished I took into account before purchasing:
1. Make sure it can back up what you intend to back up. I know this sounds like common sense but I didn't realize how much an AC heated bed on a Voron 350 pulls in terms of wattage. It overloads the unit, so I can't use it to backup that machine. That's on me. Lesson learned
2. If you intend to run something like NUT (Network UPS Tools), compatibility is spotty. I have another Vertiv unit I purchased from here that I'm trying to get working with NUT. I got it to finally be recognized, but it thinks it's always on battery and I'm seeing some connection errors in the logs. Again, not the fault of the unit itself. Just something to keep in mind.
Would but another one if I needed it.

Vertiv makes a network management card for these. They can be picked up used on ebay from time to time for under $100.

This thick (meaning study feeling) Plexiglass ECC replacement door is cut and drilled to fit the hinges and door handle perfectly. This allows me to not only see my prints during filament extrusion, but allows my PrintGuard camera to view the build "head on" and watch for printing errors.

My Centuri Carbon's glass lid broke during shipping, and I am still awaiting a lid replacement from "Seel" after purchasing Elegoo's "worry-free shipping" insurance. What a joke! I have received three different shipment tracking numbers, all of which have been fake.
If you are in the same boat as me or somehow broke your lid. This is a perfect match. Just remember to keep your handle off the original lid (and screws).

The only issue I had was the USB slot in the case, I was hoping to use it with my female USB A end cable. it wasn't quite wide enough for it to set in. I did force it in, although the adhesion of ABS to itself wasn't quite strong enough and split. It is self inflicted so the 5 star rating stands. Good quality stuff people!!

I purchased this recently because I was upgrading the motherboard on my Ender 3 Max printer and adding EZPI. I have a technical background but honestly, firmware scares me. I took the time to research TH3D's firmware and the documentation and realized that they have the pieces missing at Creality - they have instructions, documentation, video how-to's, etc. While it's different - vastly different than my IT day job, I watched the videos, read the instructions - it all made it not bad at all! Honestly, I walked away from it feeling like a superhero! And, even if you swing and miss on something - you have TH3D standing behind you. I can't recommend this product and the company enough. Great job!!!

I'll start by saying I'm moderately technical, but fairly new to the 3D world. I wanted a solution to allow me to control more facets of the printer from my laptop. I researched the generic OctoPrint offerings in the market, but when I found TH3D's solution, I smashed the 'BUY" button. TH3D provides simple instructions and videos to explain the process of setup and use which made the installation very straight forward. I recommend watching the installation video(s) and read the instructions - I never do, but this time I did. By the end I realized I would have made a huge mess, but went from start to finish in a small amount of time. Well done instructions, very nicely put together product, and awesome support. If I could give 20 stars, I would! (And, I just bought a second one for another printer!)
