Great product at an excellent price point. These couplers are a nice upgrade over those cheap flexible couplers that come on most printers stock.

These things are awesome and reusable. I had just installed one on my CR10 and recently, while lowering the bed, a tool that I had forgotten was interfering with the bed coming down so when the bed struck the tool the Z Coupler did it’s job and came apart to protect the printer. I simply removed the Z Coupler, snapped it back together and reinstalled it and its still being used.

Put this on the Z axis of my Tevo Tornado. This thing was a huge improvement with issues I was having where a large ring would appear in the middle of my prints around the whole print. I had tried Pillow block bearings to remove this effect but they did not work. If your gonna do one thing to your Tevo, buy one of these for your Z Axis.

Buy these couplers if you have stock ones. The fact that they can come apart to protect the printer without stretching or breaking like the stock couplers would in the same scenario and be put back together afterwards is enough reason alone to justify getting them.

While there are guides all over Youtube on how to adjust or resolve Z binding this component absorbs any inconsistency in the Z rod. This means that like my original Creality Z rod even being 2 degrees bent (I could roll it on the floor and see the wobble) this part corrects that change in real time allowing my prints to be smoother without the need to buy a replacement Z rod. I did in the end replace it but kept this part on due to its reliability.

Very nice little upgrade at an affordable price. When you’re printing all the time, it’s easy to make a stupid mistake (like home your printer with a print still on the bed…) and this little guy will save your hotend, and your self-printed mounts/fans, from damaging themselves but dislodging the entire z rod. And takes just a minute to install.

If your Ender 3, or any 3D printer, is like mine your Lead Screw isn’t exactly straight. The original adapter allows no give.
This one has a little play because of the plastic piece. It has taken the stress off my motor as the Z axis moves. The motor runs cooler and quieter. Also my Lead screw doesn’t seem to wobble as much during rotation.
A big Plus on this part. Even if you don’t have the issue i had. This will come apart during a bind. Especially if it bottoms out on the bed or a print.
Big thumbs UP to TH3D for the ingenious thought.

Great product at an affordable price. Replaced my stock coupler and my z-axis seems to move smoother now. I recently added their dual Z kit to my printer and the coupler works great has no issues with that product. Great fit on my CR-20 Pro.

Question
bill johnston –
would these work with the newly released Creality CR X Pro
(0) (0) Watch Unwatch
Tim Hoogland –
If that has the same 8mm leadscrews that all the other Creality printer have it will fit. We have not checked out that printer specifically but they usually keep all the same parts. Just measure the diameter of your leadscrew and if it is 8mm they will fit.

Fitted to an Ender-3. Didn’t have any Z issues at all but the safety built in to this design makes it a required upgrade! Installs in minutes.

Good lead screw, def gives a little more play than the stock one. Nice thing is that it can be taken apart easily allows more play for the Z axis, especially when the lead screw isn’t straight at times. I still ended up printing a Z motor adapter for my Ender 3, coupled with this, I don’t have any more Z wobble and the motor runs smoothly.

Question
Wayne Ennis –
Is there a video showing how to fitting this lead screw coupler?
(0) (0) Watch Unwatch
Tim Hoogland –
There is not as it’s a simple part. Remove your old one, install the new one.
Make sure its inserted straight and you tighten down the screws so it clamps on the leadscrew and motor shaft. It’s recommended to insert the leadscrew first all the way in and then the motor.

Works perfectly and has removed almost all of the play in my Z axis. Almost passed over this as I figured it couldn’t make much of a difference but it definitely does.

Easy to replace on Anet ET5 series printers. Quieter on Z-axis movement after replacement. Does elevate lead screws slightly (a couple of millimeters) over the standard couplers, but that’s okay.

I originally left a 2 star due to some issues I was having with this part. I corrected some of what was causing the issue. It’s been working pretty well on my 3s and 5s. What impressed me most was, that after I left the review, they reached out and legit tried to help me solve it. Very cool!

If the coupler is separating while the Z axis is moving, it’s due to the machine binding up, not the coupler. These are designed to separate if there is binding and/or your nozzle crashes into the build plate to prevent damage. Your eccentric nuts may be too tight on the Z axis and/or you have an alignment issue on the Z axis and/or X axis that’s preventing it from moving smoothly.

This helped improve some of the Z binding I was having on my Ender 3 Pro. Did it make it perfect, no, but a noticeable improvement!
