With Creality changing out CPUs on the V4 boards with no notice to their customers we’ve put together a guide on how to check what CPU you have so you can flash the correct firmware. We will have both the 256K and 512K firmware posted this week to support both processors.
It is NOT recommended to flash 512K CPU builds to the 256K chips as this can cause instability that could result in a fire if the firmware locks up. This has been seen on BigTreeTech SKR E3 boards when they were flashing 512K firmware onto 256K CPUs and it was causing hard locks with heaters stuck ON.
