Compatible Machines:
NOTE – Check your existing PSU fan. Some ship with 12V fans other ship with 24V. If you want a 12V version see here: 60mm Vapo Bearing Fan (12V)
- Ender 3 PSU
- Geeetech A10 PSU
Installation Notes:
- Be sure to check the polarity on the wires you are connecting our fans to. Typically red is positive and black is negative but some of the Chinese printers to not adhere to these standards.
- There is no list of what machines use what as it can vary from model to model and we have even seen differences in wiring colors used in the same printer models.
- Our fans use red for positive and black for negative. You can verify polarity with a cheap $10 multimeter from Amazon or you local hardware store.
- If fans are shorted out/killed due to improper wiring this is NOT covered under warranty.
- If you want to reduce your PSU fan noise you can print this part that ducts the air to reduce noise: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3345042

This fan works for both the main board cooling fan and the hot end cooling fan (not the part cooling fan). They run smoother and quieter than the stock fans and will last much longer.

Question
Matt Oldmixon –
Is this the same fan that comes in the Mean Well PSU on the Ender 3 Pro?

All the meanwells use 12V 60mm fans.

I figured I’d try swapping this PSU fan for the one on my Ender 3 after swapping the other two (hot end and controller). This is a definitely a much better quality fan than the one in the stock Ender 3 power supply. I’m not sure if it’s any quieter than the stock fan, but it wasn’t any louder… And it definitely seems to push a lot more air. I decided to try a fan shroud (off thingiverse) which seemed to help with noise levels (part of the motivation to replace them). I might have been concerned using it with the stock fan for airflow, but no worries with this one.
The only issue I had was with the Stock Ender 3 PSU and not the fan. When I pulled the stock fan connector the stupid glue pulled the whole connector off and I wasn’t 100% of the orientation of it on the power supply board. I went by what they had printed on the circuit board (+/-) for the connector and put everything back together. The fan didn’t work. It turned out it the print on the circuit board was wrong (Verified with my multimeter). I flipped the connector back around, powered it on, and everything was good. The fan works great and will probably outlast the rest of the power supply.
