Commonly used in Power Supplies
NOTE – Check your existing PSU fan. Some ship with 12V fans others ship with 24V. If you want a 24V version see here: 60mm Fan (24V)
Installation Notes:
- Be sure to check the polarity on the wires you are connecting our fans to. Typically red is positive and black is negative but some of the Chinese printers do not adhere to these standards.
- There is no list of what machines use what as it can vary from model to model and we have even seen differences in wiring colors used in the same printer models.
- Our fans use red for positive and black for negative. You can verify polarity with a cheap $10 multimeter from Amazon or you local hardware store.
- If fans are shorted out/killed due to improper wiring this is NOT covered under warranty.
- If you want to reduce your PSU fan noise you can print this part that ducts the air to reduce noise: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3345042

DIY Part Fitment/Installation/Wiring
This is a universal DIY 3D printer part. That means it will work on almost any 3D printer, but you must know what you are doing.
Our technical support does not cover selecting/designing/assisting in firmware setup and/or 3d models to install this part on your printer. If purchased as part of a kit from TH3D for a particular printer, then it will be covered under the kit when using our firmware package.
Electrical replacement parts usually will require you to splice wires into your existing ones for the part you are replacing (soldering and heat shrinking wire splices is recommended for proper connection).
Some of our universal electrical parts come with bare wire ends or plugs on them. These ends may or may not directly plug into your 3D printer. If they do not, you will need to splice the wires into the existing ones on your 3D printer.

Replacing the stock fans with this fan coupled with the other two really reduced the fan noise from my CR-10 control box which was really annoying. I recommend buying the kit of three and saving some $.

My Ender 3 Pro had a 12v PSU fan (check your own fan to verify, it’s written on the fan), and this replacement made a huge, huge difference in noise levels. Two other 24v 40mm fans from this site also helped make my printer is much, much quieter. It no longer sounds like a turbo jet prepping for take-off. I sometimes think the print’s done early, but nope, it’s still silently chugging along.
Other sound upgrades I’ve made (not on this site) include a 5015 part cooling fan and the v1.1.5 silent mother board with TMC2208 drivers.
Thanks for the high quality parts. Oh, and the nerds!

Will the 60mm Vapo™ Bearing Fan (12V) – Quiet (30dBA) fan fit the 12V 350W PSU Replacement/Upgrade – Genuine MeanWell power supply I already have or is it a different size?

Tim Hoogland –
Yes. They use 12V fans inside those as well. It will fit the 12V and 24V 350W Meanwells we sell.

The only reason I upgraded the PSU with this fan was to reduce the noise level. This fan is so much quieter than the stock PSU fan, which sounds like a turbo prop plane compared to this and would drown out the sound of the air conditioning return air vent which is right outside my door. Hopefully this will make my wife happier, too. So I guess there are really two reason I upgraded the PSU with this fan…

1. I just pulled the fan from my CR-10’s PSU. It’s 60x60x15, but the sticker on the front of the fan indicates 14V. Will this 12V fan work?
2. Does this come with a JST connector or will I need to add that myself?

Tim Hoogland –
Yes, that will work with that PSU and it comes with bare leads and quick connectors. You can use the connector+wire cut off from that fan you are replacing to connect to the new one.
