- 10X Female to Female Dupont Jumper Wires
- 5X Female to Male Dupont Jumper Wires

- Due to the nature of this product (aka people using it once to flash their bootloader) returns are not accepted once opened.
- Technical support is limited to flashing ONE printer and/or board per bootloader kit. Additional printers/boards will require a separate technical support charge if you wish to get support on more than one printer to flash with this kit.
- We have had to institute this policy as some customers abused support to flash dozens of printers and demand support on every single one while only purchasing one kit.

I got an Ender 3 Pro for Christmas, but once I realized that the thermal runaway protection wasn’t enabled on my firmware, I knew I had to get an update ASAP. The Uno kit arrived quickly, and with only one minor hitch (OSX Sierra needed an extra driver to properly recognize the board) I was able to get the bootloader and new firmware installed on my printer. The video instructions are great. The kit is a great and affordable resource if you don’t happen to have cables and Arduino on hand.

I soft bricked my creality 1.1.5 board and was thing i would need a new motherboard. I did some research and found that Tim and the crew had the perfect kit i needed to fix my printer. I appreciate that they took the time to include every item i needed. Tim also did a very easy to follow video for the boot loader.

I bought this product while trying to flash my CR-10 Melzi board but needed to add a bootloader. Found the TH3D Bootloader and flashing guide, bought this and everything went flawlessly! Included a bunch of cables for what I needed it for. Easy guide and quick bootloader and flash guides on their youtube channel! Will definitely buy from here again!

Everything you need in a nice simple kit, I had to add bootloaders to 3 of my printers and this is exactly what I was looking for. On top of the great product it also has a nice tutorial video to walk you through everything.

Absolutely excellent documentation and video guides. Do pay attention when using OSX to use the correct driver for the Mac to recognize this Arduino board. Updated my printer without any prior knowledge of how to use an Arduino and it worked flawlessly.

I’ve never touched an Arduino board before, but thanks to the all in one kit and the amazing documentation and video walkthroughs I was able to flash a bootloader and upgrade my Ender 5’s firmware in about 30 minutes.

I’ve never done any type of 3D printer modifications. This worked great. I followed the instructions here along with YouTube videos for the Ender 3. Fiddled for a while with a Mac, and then eventually got it working from my Linux system. I think if I would have been on Windows it would have been faster but that’s ok. I think the TH3D products have worked as advertised. Now onto adding the EZABL system!

Kit was great and very easy to follow along. Did this on an Ender pro 3 so had to access from the bottom but no big deal. Some steps took a little longer then the video said to expect so be patient. Just getting into 3D printing and am liking what these folks are doing. Nice to know I now have thermo protection, wife would really be pissed if I burned down the house. Thanks TH3D!

A friend had done the Pi version of this and I almost went that route. But for the money and the ease of finding instructions, I went this route. Glad I did. Straight forward with provided instructions and videos available on the process. Opened up the true potential for Ender 3 upgrades as well as basic safety features. DO IT!

JG Proponet –
I have a blank screen on my CR10S after a failed firmware update. Will this help fix the issue and put a new bootloaded onto the board?

If it just suffered from a bad flash typically you can bail it out by burning the bootloader and then reloading the firmware. But I do not want you to think “this will definitely fix it”. If the CPU itself has an issue, which would cause a bad flash, then it will not fix the board. Its a 50/50 shot if reflashing the bootloader and then flashing the firmware will revive the board.

I have a CR-10 V2 not sure about the version of the board. Is this for a 32bit board (w/ a bootloader) or is it for 8bit boards w/o a bootloader? Can I still use it

Tim Hoogland –
CR-10 V2 has an 8 Bit board with a 2560. This kit is for the 8 bit boards with the 1284p CPU.

Question
coppercladlad –
I have a boot loop with my ender 5 (pro). Before I had a problem with the ender 5 not going to the main menu and instead make a loud consent beep and showed Err: MAXTEMP: E! Printer halted Please Reset. I didn’t know what to do so i tried to get the new firmware from crealtiy. The noob i am didn’t do it right now its in a boot looping the ender logo and beeping once then shutting down to do it all over again.
Do think by following the video online and getting this kit it will revive the mother board?

Tim Hoogland –
Based on what you stated it sounds like you shorted out your hotend and damaged the motherboards or there is a wiring issue. This bootloader kit would not fix that type of issue nor would any other firmware update. We do carry 2 boards (our EZBoard V2 and V4.2.7 Creality Board) to replace your stock board.

coppercladlad –
How can I tell if I need a new board if I did or didn’t wire it correctly? Is there a check list of some kind?

Tim Hoogland –
We wouldn’t be able to tell you if your board is bad or not based on this comment but you should follow the bootloader guide and try to flash it. Make sure to follow all the steps to make sure you are not forgetting anything. The guide is here: https://bootloader.th3dstudio.com/

Aaron Albright –
I’m getting ready to put the EZABL on my Ender 6 along with some other mods from you guys (bedmounts, felxible print system…etc). Is this something that I need for loading software. I have no issues using the SD card if needed. Just want to make sure I don’t mess up anything. Thanks.

You do NOT need and should NOT use this bootloader kit on the Ender 6. The directions for the ender 6 firmware are located here: https://support.th3dstudio.com/helpcenter/creality-ender-6-firmware/
