Product Info

What is the EZPi?

The EZPi is a pre-setup, tuned, and configured OctoPrint kit. OctoPrint is an open source project that lets you easily control your printer from your computer, smartphone, tablet, or laptop. You can send your Gcode over to the EZPi through your web browser so no more tinkering with SD cards! You can also connect a USB camera to the EZPi to do monitoring and timelapses of your prints. There are a ton of features that can be added in addition to what we load like PushBullet integration, YouTube Live Streaming, and much more!

The EZPi is built the OctoPi image and customized by TH3D for the best user experience. All the hardware has been fully tested to correctly work together so you can have a very reliable and robust 3D printer control platform.

Ordered this for my Tevo Tornado 2018 Gold printer. Easy setup and connects flawlessly to my WiFi network. Absolutely recommend if you want an out of the box solution that supports Octoprint development.

So so easy to get more control of my printer! I have purchased several items from TH3D and all of them work flawlessly! Followed the simple instruction and am up and running on my WiFi network. Printing a time-lapse as we speak! totally trustworthy company that I WILL be doing as much of my business with as possible. Thank you for helping enjoy my hobby even more.

    Great Product and service

Connected three cables, powered up, warmed up the CR-10 S500 and was printing in less than 5 minutes. If you don’t want to follow the gazillion confusing blogs and YouTube videos to setup your home OctoPi Print server, get this product and service. You won’t be disappointed.

  4. Question

    Chris

My experience with Raspberry pi is null. I already have a Logitech USB HD Camera (B525). Is it just plug-n-play for most part or is there some work at getting a driver that will work on the PI?

The B525 should work with this kit according to feedback found on the OctoPrint website but since we haven’t tested it ourselves we cannot guarantee compatibility. We’ve tested with the C270/C310 (that is what we sell here as the Logitech HD Camera), C615, and C920.

Can I add my wireless information myself (when I setup the octopi) without sending the credentials to you?

Hi! I’m wondering, what are the main differences between the four EZPi kits that are offered? I’ll want to get one in a bit of time, but didn’t see a model comparison anywhere. Thanks!

We will be putting up a comparison chart but the main differences are that the 3B kit has the base model board and 10/100 ethernet and 802.11n (2.4ghz only) wifi. Whereas the 3B+ based kit has gigabit ethernet and 802.11ac dual band wifi. The 4B models have the same wifi/ethernet setup as the 3B+. They are all quad core CPUs but they are faster as the models go up. From slowest to fastest: 3B, 3B+, 4B. All work great for octoprint and we just wanted to have multiple options for people in different budgets.

Thanks a lot Tim! This what I found looking up the boards online. In terms of user experience, how much of a difference do the higher specs make? I’m suspecting that unless there are bottlenecks in processing power, memory or bandwidth, it wouldn’t make a discernible difference at all. Aside from the specs of the boards, the only other difference is the case? How much resources does Octoprint use, and is it close enough to maxing them out that new features might make a better board worth it? I know this is a lot to ask, but just in case you’re compared all models, I’d love to know.

      Thanks again!

The 3B works well but the UI can be slow at times, especially when you are used to the 3B+. The 4 is VERY quick. Personally if you can swing the extra few $ go with at least the 3B+. But at the end of the day they all work great (otherwise we wouldn’t be selling them 🙂 ).
