Spool Type: Spools will either be plastic or cardboard depending on stock.
Printing Temperatures & Tips
These are the temperatures that we found our filaments print best at.
- PLA - 220C Nozzle | 50-60C Bed
- PETG - 230C Nozzle | 70-80C Bed
- TPU/TPE - 220C Nozzle | 60-80C Bed
- ABS/ASA - 245C Nozzle | 100-110C Bed
Printing ASA/ABS - When printing ASA/ABS you must use an enclosure to prevent warping and layers de-laminating. We sell enclosures in our shop here.
Prints not sticking? - For all materials we highly recommend Vision Miner to stick your prints down if you are having issues with adhesion.
Abrasive Filaments -Â Â If you are printing Carbon Fiber, Glass filled, and/or Glow in the Dark we highly recommend using a nozzle that is rated for abrasive filaments. We carry steel and our EZFlow nozzles for many machines that are up to the task to print these harsher filaments.

Filament Handling
When handling filament the end should be:
- On the spool
- In your hand
- Loaded in the printer
Do NOT let the end of the filament go when handling it as you can cause the spool to tangle. Filament cannot tangle on its own. Returns/refunds will not be issued if you tangle a spool. Due to how filament is spooled onto the roll it is impossible to get a tangled spool from a new spool.

I printed some calibration pieces and small test pieces to try out the filament. It’s beautiful, even if it’s a bit darker than I expected. Having a good feel for it, I printed off a large 13 hour, ~300g print (Groot!) that turned out GREAT, so I decided to clean my bed and crank out another smaller one for my son…. And SNAP, the filament broke about 10 minutes/5 or so layers in. I unspooled a bit, found a crossed over section about a meter back, went to untangle it and SNAP. Broke right in my hands. I didn’t see any more issues after unspooling a few more meters, so I thought I’d try again. I carefully rolled it back up, ran it again, made it about 3 hours in, and came back to a failed prints with a twisted and tangled spool. It was crossed over and tangled for several more windings. Same deal with it snapping every time I tried to uncross it, but, now with ~30-40% left on the spool everything seems to be sitting nicely. I’ve got it in my dryer box to help salvage the rest of the spool, but I’m really sad & disappointed that the middle section is all wasted (not to mention the time trying to fix it), especially for a filament that’s this expensive. I wanted to try out some of the other Spaghet colors, but it’s further down my shopping list now due to the hassle. Pic attached of the print that actually worked cause it is beautiful filament (when it works)

Sorry to hear about the issue with the roll snapping. PLA will become brittle if it is left out for a while (especially the ones with fills and glitter in them). If possible can you send us a ticket so we can relay this to our supplier? We can setup a replacement roll (or a credit if it is out of stock) for the trouble. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, we will stand behind our products if there is a defect.
