Things that are Important to Us
Our Dedicated, US Based Team
TH3D is based out of Hobart, IN. All of our team members are in the US, we do not outsource any of our positions to people outside the US.
We run a hybrid of onsite and remote employees to maximize efficiency and coverage of our customers that are all over the world. We have a dedicated team of people who only handle customer service and technical support requests.
Honest Reviews
Unlike other people in the 3D printing space who rely on making sales through affiliate programs, we do not. We will always be honest when reviewing a 3D printer even if there are issues.
Many channels (especially ones that work with Bambu Labs) are bound by agreements where they cannot be honest with you on negative aspects of products.
Focus on Quality and Service
Our focus is to get our customers the best products at fair prices. We’re all makers here, and we know how frustrating getting cheap parts from China is and not getting what you wanted the first time.
Everything we carry are parts and products that we use on our in-house machines to make our lives easier. There is enough to worry about in this hobby/industry so let us help simplify your 3D printing life by ensuring you get quality parts and excellent support.
When we design products, we take the time to run them through stress testing and analysis to make sure they work and last. Unlike many vendors in the 3D printing market, we do not use our customers to test our products, we sell products that work and are free of major design flaws.

Not 1 hour after running PC & Printer to this Liebert PSU, I had a power outage.
It worked great, giving me 10 minutes to shutdown everything properly. Remaining power I used to charge my iPad and Phone.
Front display is easy to read, easy to setup.
Great value.

Best drybox
Unlike the dryer unit, the dryboxes work great! Once dry, the filament will STAY dry for a long time.

The Polydryer system is a great concept, but poorly executed.
The dryer base leaves a lot to be desired, it doesn't come close to producing the industry recommended temperatures for the filament groups.
Polymaker claims 50/60/70ºC for the 3 levels, but those are AT the heat output grille, not in the central volume of the box where it counts. Air cools off significantly when it expands out into the box.
I measured roughly at the spool center height, and about where the surface of a half-spool of filament would be, and got 40.5/48.9/57.2ºC - rather pathetic. This poor performance has been noted by a couple of YouTube reviewers as well.
Fortunately, there is a simple mechanical tweak one can make to bring each temperature much closer to the desired 50/60/70. Ya need a phillips screwdriver, open it up and move the thermistor as far to the right as the wire will allow. You'll get about 5-6ºC more at each level.
Even then, the heat isn't distributed evenly. Air moving up & over the top of a spool of filament looses about 5ºC in transit. So the side of the spool nearest the outlet gets hotter than the side opposite the outlet.
It's really up to Polymaker & FabNotion to address these shortcomings.

In all honestly, Creality should just start shipping these K1 Max printers with the glass door pre-shattered, they actually look quite artistic since they shatter like a car windshield and stay together. This upgrade makes it much easier to see what's going on inside the printer and it doesn't break if you simply look at it the wrong way!

I have an early production Creality K1, which means I had a lot of problems. Poor bed leveling, horrible extruder that went thru 3 or 4 revisions, and a poorly designed hot end. Creality fixed the extruder problems, but the rest of up to me and Micro Swiss. Having had their extruders and hot ends on other printers, I felt that I could trust them with regard to the FlowTech hotted for the K1. And I was not disappointed! What a change it made in print quality, print speed, and confidence in the printer itself. My K1 is a workhorse now with almost 3,000 hours of runtime on it. And I run it every day and I don't have to give a thought to the possibility of clogs or poor print quality. Now if only I had a 4 color option on the K1!!! Yes, I know it is in the works, but it is Creality after all.

They are very nice, tight seal, moisture meter in the box.
Downside is the drawer on my printer cabinet would hold 16 spools of filament, it will only hold 10 PolyDryer storage boxes.
I also have not found any information on what the optimal moisture content for the different filaments are. I also have the dryer it does a good job, according to the moisture meter.

Excellent customer service.

My first open source plug
and it was easier to setup than the app-bound brands. I love that I can control it with a webpage and that its relay still works with alexa.

I now have these installed on all three of my 3D printers and can only say good things about them. I use OctoPrint to control the printers and the ability of the Tasmota plug-in to power off the printer in the even of a thermal runaway or other printer fault gives me more peace of mind. No need to sit next to it and babysit the printer.
I added a USB power isolator to eliminate any back feed from the Pi into the printer controller and this combined with the EZPlug allows complete remote control. On prints at home when I am at work, my wife just needs to power up the Pi and I can run it remotely. She then checks on it from time to time and occasionally gets to make fun of my rare failed print.
