Meet the Owner

I’ve been passionate about tinkering, electronics, and computers since I was young. In 2016, I discovered 3D printing, and it quickly became more than just a hobby—it became my mission.

With over a decade of IT experience in support, project management, and systems administration, along with earning my Eagle Scout rank in 2007, I founded TH3D Studio to make 3D printing easier and more accessible. My goal is to help makers spend less time troubleshooting and more time printing.

Happy Printing!

Things that are Important to Us

Our Dedicated, US Based Team

TH3D Studio is based out of Hobart, IN. All of our team members are in the US, we do not outsource any of our positions to people outside the US. When you call or email us you will get someone in the US who knows their stuff.

Honest Reviews

Unlike other people in the 3D printing space who rely on making sales through affiliate programs, we do not. We will always be honest when reviewing a 3D printer even if there are issues.

Many channels (especially ones that work with Bambu Labs) are bound by agreements where they cannot be honest with you on negative aspects of products. If they do, they get cut off from review units. We do not typically receive free printers anymore because companies want us to omit or lie about problems with products.

Focus on Quality and Service

Our focus is to get our customers the best products at fair prices. We’re all makers here, and we know how frustrating getting cheap parts from China is and not getting what you wanted the first time.

Everything we carry are parts and products that we use on our in-house machines to make our lives easier. There is enough to worry about in this hobby/industry so let us help simplify your 3D printing life by ensuring you get quality parts and excellent support.

When we design products, we take the time to run them through stress testing and analysis to make sure they work and last. Unlike many vendors in the 3D printing market, we do not use our customers to test our products, we sell products that work and are free of major design flaws.

For a K1 max the extruder is too tall to put the cover on. The lever to release the filament is a pain in the butt. Much less covenant than the stock extruder. I got it because I had issues with TPU. Good news it works KINDA. I fight to get it out which I need to do after every print. Because of the release lever hard to hold and marginal release I have trouble getting the filament low enough. I have to press extrude two times to get it through. Installing the motor wires barely fit.

It is beautiful and well-constructed.

Needed a new build plate for one of my A1's, and gave this a go. Phaetus delivers again, and as my other plates need to be replaced, I'll be using these. I'm about 6 prints in on the plate, with zero adhesion issues at all. I even printed (by accident) some PETG with PLA settings with the plate set as a SuperTac plate, and it worked perfectly fine at 45 degrees. Next printer that gets one is my K2 Plus, I'm sure it'll work better than their Epoxy Resin build plate, and it's cheaper to boot..

I will not be using this component as I purchased a replacement control board the current one on the Voxelab 3d printer. I was unable to get the firmware I purchase here to function on the original board after a successful compile. I will say that the adapter pullup board for the 10 type display looks rugged and uses through hole resistors so if I desired, I could easily change the part values.

Works exactly how I had hoped (allowing me to print PLA on my enclosed P1P without opening the door/top. Just set the bed temp to 1 degree.)

Adhesion seems great, and when it's time to release, that's easy too!

It took a little time to get the cool plate settings in my H2D. Once this was done and my first model was complete I was very pleased. The model popped off the build place with perfect adhesion release. It proved true that no bed adhesive was required. I've had so many failed prints over the years due to adhesion loss. It's so nice to print without the messy bed weld applications. Great product.
