What is this kit for and why should I get it?
Supports the F1 and F4 CPUs found in these printers. This kit replaces the stock color LCD to give you more control and features over YOUR printer. The stock Ender 3 S1 Plus LCDs and firmware have been very problematic for people and this kit fixes all of that.
The stock LCD and firmware from Creality is very buggy and do not work correctly with Octoprint and some slicers. This also allows for live Z adjustment (babystepping) and much more control over the core operations of your printer. PID tuning is available as well to fine-tune your hotend and bed temperature regulation. This goes great with our EZABL kit for automatic bed leveling.
Requires a firmware update that is included with the purchase of this kit. The Ender 3 S1 Plus has a bootloader already and updates with the SD slot by placing a firmware file on the card and turning the printer on. See the firmware page for full details on how to use and update the firmware.
Will this work with Klipper?
Yes, these LCDs and the stock board are supported by Klipper firmware. However, due to the complexity of Klipper, our technical support that is included does NOT apply if you are using Klipper firmware. Technical support only applies when you are using our Unified 2 Firmware package that is included.
Creality is no longer selling the metal brackets that are shown in some videos and/or product photos. We have ABS and PLA brackets as an alternative.
Installation Directions & Video (Same as the other S1 Series)
Video guide note: You will need to open the bottom of the printer on the S1 Plus to install the new LCD cable. Since the Plus uses the touch screen that uses a different cable than the normal S1 model shown in the video. Please see this article for more information.

It was a very easy install remove the bottom and replace the ribbon cable with the new one.
You do need the longer cable for the Ender S1 Plus model.
The display works better than the OEM and has much better function.

Not a big deal, but the video is old and says ‘all externally done’. This is not the case with newer (maybe F4?) which requires you to open up the system and put in a connector. Support sent me this picture.
