Installation Video
The ONLY high quality, drop-in replacement board with US Technical Support
NO Soldering
NO Cutting wires to add new connectors
NO Printing Adapter Parts
Need help getting it setup? No problem! Contact our support for help.
100% Working Firmware that is amazingly easy to use and a web-based firmware compiler included!
We use high quality and genuine parts on our boards
Our PCBs are made with 4 layers and 2oz copper on every layer
Machine Specific Notes
CR-10 Series – will need to have the always on fan (control box fans -40mm and 50mm- and hotend fan) 2 pin connectors removed and connected to the FAN terminal on our board.
Ender 5 Plus – will need to have the always on hotend fan 2 pin connector removed and connected to the FAN terminal on our board.
Tinned Wire Warning
If you have tinned wires (most printers come with their wires tinned) remove the ends and insert bare wire. Tinned wires over time will damage any screw terminals.
Download the manual, firmware, and related files for the EZBoard here: EZBoard – Installation Guide & Firmware Info
You must read the manual. It covers connections and explains what connectors do on our board.
We also have an automated web tool to make your firmware in under 5 minutes with NO software needed on your computer. Check it out at https://EZFirmware.TH3DStudio.com.
PLEASE NOTE: All EZBoards ship with a test firmware that is for testing the boards. You must flash firmware for the machine you are installing it in for the board to work.
Silence is Golden – Silent Trinamic TMC 2208 Stepper Drivers running at 1/256 Stepping
- UART enabled for driver configuration and data
- Change Modes with the LCD or GCode
- StealthChop2
- SpreadCycle
- Change Motor Current (VREF) from the LCD or Gcode
- SpreadCycle and StealthChop2 take 1/16 signals from the CPU and interpolates them to 1/256 for smooth motor control
- Why TMC2208 over TMC2209? Read here.
Stacks on Stacks of Copper – 4 Layer PCB with 2oz Copper on EVERY layer for Durability and Heat Dissipation
- TMC 2208 Drivers Require a 4 Layer PCB and 2oz Copper
- Our PCB is the heatsink for the drivers. Do NOT install heatsinks on the EZBoard at all, it does not need it and you can damage the board.
- If the others don’t specifically mention 2oz on all 4 layers they probably don’t have it.
- Why do you use the TMC 2208 Instead of TMC 2209 Drivers?
No Hassle Firmware – Runs TH3D Unified 2 Firmware
- Easy to use web based firmware compiler (access included free)
- Based on Marlin 2.0
- Easy Printer Setup like you know from our Unified Firmware
- GPL V3 Source Code Provided to EZBoard Customers
- All firmware features are 100% working and our board has working EEPROM
Packed with Features
32 Bit CPU for all the latest Marlin 2.0 features now and in the future
- No slowdowns when running all the latest Marlin Features
- 512K of program space for all the options
- Working EEPROM for storing printer tuning settings (steps/mm, z offset, PID tuning, etc)
MOSFETs over spec’d for cool operation and long life
- We use 50A rated MOSFETs to keep things cool and long lasting
Genuine Phoenix Contact Screw Terminals
- These terminals are very high quality and lock the threads of the screw into place
- Terminals on other boards from China use no-name ones that are prone to failure and/or burning up over time
Dual Controllable Fan outputs
- FAN 1 – Layer Fan Output – 0.5A Rated
- FAN 2 – Connect your Controller fan to shut off when not printing – 0.5A Rated
Compatible with single and dual cable Creality LCDs
- Dual Cable Requires the Creality Dual Cable LCD Adapter board
MicroSD Slot onboard
- Supports FAT and FAT32 formatted cards up to 32GB
Other Connections On-Board
- Servo Header for BL Touch Use
- Filament Sensor Connection (works with EZOut sensors and Creality/Sovol stock sensors)
- The 5V pin headers are meant for use with a filament sensor and/or BL Touch. Do NOT connect a Raspberry Pi to these outputs as you will damage the board.
Other Notes
- Works with our EZABL Pro Kits
- OPTIONAL Dual Z Motor Adapter cable for machines with 2x Z motors (select above)
- Bed output rated up to 13A. If your bed is aftermarket and pulls more than 13A then use the add on the MOSFET above. Board is fused at 15A.

ThierryC (verified owner) –
I mainly bought this board as I read a lot of reviews talking about the silence of the motors after installing it. It was true, except for the extruder motor which now is squealing like hell. I took the opportunity that the printer would be open to also change the heated bed with an AC bed and swap the glass and its bl**dy clips with an EZFlex kit.
Now, the swap with a CR10-S mainboard is anything but easy, I had to dig online in search of what actually where the stock connections for the fans, they are written fan1, fan2, fan3 and K-fan on the board… go figure what it is!!
On the CR10-S V1:
fan1 = controlled box fan (the big one to cool the mainboard)
fan2 = always on hotend fan with the yellow wire being (+) and the white being (-)
fan3 = Always on box fan (at the rear of the box)
K-fan = Cooling part fan
That took me some time to figure out what was what as I did not want to end up with wrong connections but I anyway, ended up burning the hotend fan as the wiring is not standard!
I have one of the first version of the EZAbl pro which was not triggering the Z stop so I had to re-open the box and tinker some DIY solution to plug the Z Stop to the Servo connector.
I also noticed that the stock cooling part fan was not kicking below 25% with this board so I changed it with another one from Creality which is a bit bigger but kicks at 15% now.
All in all, I got some sweat but the printer is now pretty silent which amazes me and ready for the next generation of true 3D printing (non planar printing)
