This is our flagship flexible printing system. This will take all the hassle of removing prints from your bed once and for all!
Easier to install, ships from USA, better quality, better pricing, no scuffing required, and more options than other brands like Wham Bam or BuildTak.
Our PEI coated plates offer great adhesion for filament types and easy part removal.
Our plates are made from high quality steel that will not rust.
What are you waiting for? Toss those scrapers in the trash and get to flexing!
Just stick our magnet to your bed and slap the flex plate on to the magnet. Start your print like you always do and then when the bed cools (40C or less) you can pop the plate off with our convenient lift tabs and then flex the part off. You'll love using our plates and if you want even more adhesion than the PEI offers add our EZMat to the rear of the plate for easy printing of other filaments (like ABS, ASA, or Nylon) that require higher temperatures (enclosure required for some filaments).
Maintenance Tip - Make sure to clean your bed before applying the magnet and occasionally wipe down the plate with IPA to keep the surface free of oils for best adhesion.
PROTECTIVE FILM CHANGES - ALL plates shipped after 4/2021 will NOT have a protective film on them.
Smooth Plates - All smooth plates have the small EZFlex2 logo in the corner instead of the large TH3D logo as shown in some product pictures.
Important Information
Adhesion Help - Check out our article here: EZMat/EZPei – Adhesion Tips and Tricks
ABS - You will need to use something like VisionMiner Nano Polymer to stick ABS to PEI, or use our EZMat on the other side of the plate. Smaller parts will stick but larger parts may lift without an adhesion promoter on the PEI surface
PETG/PCTG/TPU - If you are not careful with your 1st layer you can risk bonding the PETG/PCTG/TPU to the PEI surface. This will damage the surface. To prevent damage to the surface apply hairspray or PVA gluestick before printing PETG/PCTG/TPU on the PEI or EZMat surfaces
Part Removal - Make sure your plate is at close to room temp (under 30C) before removing parts. If you remove it when hot it is more likely to damage the surface.
Magnetic Base Compatibility - Using our plates with a 3rd party magnet may result in the plate warping as other brands' magnets are not as strong as ours. We can only guarantee the longevity and compatibility when using our magnet and our plates.
Maintain Proper Z Height - When starting a print make sure your bed is level and your nozzle is not too close to the bed (if using an ABL system check that your Z offset is correct and use the Babystepping to adjust during a print). Running the nozzle too close will damage the surface and/or embed the plastic into the sheet. Damage due to improper Z height is hard to fix and is not covered under warranty.
Cleaning - Keep the top and bottom of the plate clean as well as the magnet if you get anything on it. IPA is what is recommended to clean the plate and magnetic base. Make sure that no liquids or adhesives are on top of the magnet or bottom of the plate. If liquids are between the magnet and the plate it can damage and degrade the magnet so keep them dry and clean.
Proper Installation - The EZFlex system is designed to be installed on your printer bed directly. Do NOT attach our magnetic surface and/or flex plate with any type of clips and/or adhere the magnetic sheet to any other removable surface. The magnetic sheet must be adhered to the top of your printer bed directly.
SMOOTH PLATES SHIPPED AFTER 4/19/2021 WILL NOT HAVE A PROTECTIVE FILM ON THEM. WE ARE NOW REMOVING IT BEFORE SHIPMENT BECAUSE SOME CUSTOMERS WOULD NOT REMOVE IT BEFORE USING THE PLATES.
Dual Side Usage - When using the EZMat or other surface on the rear of the plate the magnetic strength will feel less than using a plate with only the PEI surface. We have tested using dual sided applications on our plates in house and they work well even with a surface on both sides. Some users have reported that on large prints having another surface on the rear can cause it to pull up from the magnet. Only apply a 2nd surface to the rear of the plate if you accept this risk.
Be sure to check your bed size. TH3D is not responsible for the wrong size ordered and/or errors in the listings. We try do our best to keep descriptions up to date but some manufacturers make changes to machines after release.
- PLA - 60C
- HTPLA - 60C
- PETG - 70-80C
- PCTG - 70-80C
- ABS - 100C
Our magnetic bases use an adhesive that works best on clean, bare aluminum. Attaching the magnetic base to a non-metallic surface, such as a polycarbonate mat, will cause premature failure of the adhesive. Adhesive failure due to improper installation is not covered under warranty.
Magnetic bases are intended to be used with our EZFlex plates ONLY. Do NOT put other surfaces on top of the magnetic base as some have reported that certain mirrors and/or glass can stick to the magnetic sheet which can damage it.
Do NOT print directly on top of the magnetic base. Printing on a magnetic base will cause irreparable damage to the magnetic base and is NOT covered under warranty. Always print on a designed-for-purpose build surface.
Please note that all PEI surfaces are pre-installed on the plates so you will not have to install them yourself. If you purchased the EZMat as well apply this to the side of the plate without the logo on it.
All plates and magnets are inspected to ensure full functionality to make sure they meet our standards for them. We only ship out plates that meet our QC standards.
Smooth PEI plates - These may have a non-uniform appearance under the PEI as that is the adhesive visible through the PEI sheet, this is normal. Additionally, the Smooth PEI plates may have small, cosmetic marks that do not affect functionality from manufacturing and handling.
Textured PEI plates - These may have a non-uniform color appearance as they are sprayed and the PEI is baked onto the plate, this is normal.Textured plates will have the texture covering the print area for the machines they fit (example: CR-10 has a 310x310 bed but print area is only 300x300).
Plates will not be exchanged if they are in these specifications. Only if a plate has a defect that affects it's functionality will be considered defective.
Why are there some variances in appearance with the plates? They are all sprayed (textured) or applied by hand (smooth). It is impossible (even with a machine) to make every single plate absolutely identical. The information provided above is so you know what to expect from the plates
Warranty Information
3 Months Warranty - Our warranty covers any and all defects with the product. If your product fails or has problems within the warranty period you can contact our support team by using the Contact Us link. Technical support is limited to the scope of the product itself and not your entire machine.
Damage/Failure due to improper installation, improper usage, failure resulting from an issue with the machine the product is installed on, 3rd party products connected to our product, and/or modification of the product are not covered under warranty.
Return/Refund Information for Flex Plates and Magnets
Once a magnet is installed on a printer it is NON-REFUNDABLE as there is no way to remove it from the bed without damaging it.
Flex plates can only be returned if they are in like-new condition and have no signs of use on their surface.

What’s the difference between textured PEI and smooth PEI? Why would you choose one over the other?:
(0) (0)
Tim Hoogland –
One is smooth and one is textured. The textured gives you a slightly bumpy surface finish while the smooth is a semi-gloss. There is slightly stronger mechanical adhesion on the textured plates but they both work great for holding your prints down.

Just to confirm.. we need to purchase the flex plate AND the magnetic plate?

If you do not have either you need to purchase both. The magnet and the plates are also available separately as well if you have one or the other already.

Any chance you could make a list at the bottom of the page of suggested sizes for popular printers? For instance, something like 508×508 – CR10, CR10S, 220×220 – Ender 3, etc.? I ask, because for non-veteran people like me that don’t have the sizes in hand to compare, I am unsure if the 508 is the right size for my CR-10S or if I should go smaller or what.

We’ve added it to our todo list. As for the CR-10S you would want the 310×310 size.

I bought this for my CR-10 Max that has been an absolute nightmare to remove prints from. I actually damaged my old build plate trying to pry a print off and then ended up having to waste filament on rafts every time. Saw this recommended on Reddit and decided to give it a shot. So glad I did! Now I can pull the Flex sheet off as soon as the print finishes and the part pops right off. The PEI gives great adhesion too and no glue or anything required. I’m thinking of getting one for my Ender 3 next. Thanks guys!

When is a new batch coming in (235 x 235)? Also would the EZMat basically be a good swap instead of buying seperate textured pei plates? SO basically smooth pei on front and EZmat on the back if I am correct in how this works.

Can you tell me when the second batch of 255x300mm for the SV01 are available? I’d rather have the correct size than a discount 🙂
(0) (0)
Tim Hoogland –
The current size fits the SV01 very well and more than covers the entire print area of that machine. We won’t be re-ordering them until the current size is sold through which is probably about a month-1.5 months.

The aluminum plate on my E3P is warped. How much of that warp will translate to the Flex plate? Also, is the pre-installed magnet on the E3P strong enough for this? Or would you recommend pulling it off and using the supplied one?
(0) (0) Watch Unwatch
Tim Hoogland –
Some of that warped bed will transfer through to the plate but not all of it. As for the stock magnet we’ve tested our plates with them and with the bed at 40C or higher and a large print the stock magnet will not hold our plate down without pulling up due to it’s low quality. If you are going to use our plate make sure to pair it up with the magnet we sell as well.

Again TH3D comes in for the win again, with their Textured and Smooth PEI Bed system. This takes all of the hassle of parts not sticking and worrying about how your parts are going to come out. Pair this print system with the high-end printers out there and will be turning out great prints in no time.

Amazing product. Shipping was stuck due to USPS, but that isn’t TH3D’s fault at all. In fact, they even reached out once they heard there were possible shipping issues (that was unexpected, by great). The system was straight forward to setup and is awesome. Prints stick perfect, right out of the box and come off easy, once cooled. Given the price of similar solutions, this is an absolute must have at a great price.

I have an ender 3 pro that came with Creality’s magnetic build plate. Do I need the magnetic base or can I use the mag base that I have and only get the textured PEI sheet?
(0) (0) Watch Unwatch
Tim Hoogland –
It is not recommended to use the Creality base since it is much weaker and does not resist high temperatures as well as ours does. If you use our plate with their magnet you can get the plate pulling up off the bed. It is recommended to use our plates with our magnets for best performance.

Brett Vitaz –
When can we expect the 410mm textured plate to be in stock? Will it fit on the CR-6 Max?
(0) (0) Watch Unwatch
Tim Hoogland –
We should have them very soon (like week of 3/23/21). As for the CR-6 Max, the 410×410 will cover up to 410x410mm print area and the CR-6 Max is 400×400. Check your physical bed size if you care about covering the whole physical bed (not just the print area) and see what it is. We don’t have a CR-6 MAX here to check the bed. If it has the metal clips for the glass sheet, those will need to be unscrewed when you install the EZFlex system as they can get in the way and are no longer needed.

Would the 310mm x 310mm work on ender 6? Thank you.
(0) (0) Watch Unwatch
Tim Hoogland –
The Ender 6 bed is 290×290 and it does have clearance for a 310×310 plate (just checked on our Ender 6 here). The 310×310 will work on the Ender 6 but it will hang over the edge a little bit.

Question
firewolf91 –
Is there a version that fits the Ender 3 Max? You have a 310×310, but I’m not sure if that would fit on the Ender 3 Max with the built in clips on the plate and not a lot of side clearance.
(0) (0) Watch Unwatch
Tim Hoogland –
They physical bed size on the Ender 3 MAX is 310×320, but print area is only 300×300. So either the 310×310 or the 310×320 would work for that machine.

The bed holds down nice and strong with the provided magnet so the sheet will not move AT ALL during printing. The prints stick really good to the build plate, and pop right off with a bit of flex when it is cooled down. Have it on my CR10S, and will get one for my Ender 3 Pro.

I was really impressed with this textured PEI build plate. For the same price as the Ultistick PEI is for just the build plate, no magnet, you get an equally as good quality build surface, with even better adhesion in some cases and a magnet if your bed is lacking one. Worked very well on the ender 3 v2 and ender 5 pro using PLA, PETG and TPU 95a.

The backs of all our plates do not have any print surface on them so you can attach another surface to the rear of the plate and use it “dual-sided”. When you do this the magnet will feel weaker because of the added material between the plate and magnet, but should still keep the plate stuck down.

My only experience with textured PEI was on a printer that came with a magnetic base and textured PEI build plate. It worked great for a couple of months but seemed to loose it’s texture more quickly then I would have expected. The TH3D texture is really rough and grippy. If you don’t want that finish on the bottom of your print just flip it over, apply some bed adhesion helper (I used Nano) and print away. Now I’m getting a sheet for my other Ender and the Anycubic Vyper.

If you’re looking for a sign to buy this now, here it is.
The printer I bought this for is my completely decked out, workhorse Ender 3. This printer has had one failure in its lifetime until my most recent commission that involved printing PETG parts at 100% density. Although still usable, every single print was suffering from some warping on my glass bed. After ensuring my chamber and everything was still operating as intended I realized the only possible way for this dense mass of PETG to possibly contact enough to warp was failing bed adhesion. I took the plunge and ordered this PEI sheet from TH3D…
First impression – the actual PEI coating on this plate is notably thicker to the naked eye than any of the Amazon/Chinese PEI sheets I’m running on my other printers. Pair that up with genuine 3M adhesive for the magnetic base plate and I’m certain this build surface will last me quite some time. This EZFlex system immediately solved my printing issue and I’ll be able to make my deadline for these parts.
Thank you TH3D for yet another great product, at a reasonable price, delivered in a timely manner.

We will not, measure between the Z uprights and see if you have the extra space between them to allow for a 410×410 plate to pass through it. If you do have the room then a 410×410 will fit fine on your 400×400 bed, we use the 410×410 on the Alfawise U10 that has 400×400 for its bed.
