Does it wire the steppers in series or parallel?

Parallel. This is in the product description as well.

Question
Sy-Ben Jim –
What is the spacing between the two holes? And what size screws do we need to fit it?

Tim Hoogland –
No screws are needed. You can print this tiny bumper case for it that press-fits on to the adapter: https://www.th3dstudio.com/downloads/TH3DDualZAdapterPressOnCase.stl

Question
daniel.porrey –
Is this needed adapter necessary if I have the split cable that came with the CR10 kit from Creality? This cable has a single connector for the main board and two motor connectors on the opposite end. I am already using this on the stock main board.

Tim Hoogland –
If you have their “Y” cable then it is not needed. You can use the existing cable you have since it is already a splitter.

Hi, Dose this adapter spilt the power to the motor in half like some of the online forums mentioned and cause problems? Do I have to recalibrate the z steps or this is a straight forward plug & play?

Tim Hoogland –
This is a parallel wired adapter. No firmware changes are needed on the steps/mm but you should increase your VREF on your Z driver a little bit. Both motors should be identical.

Question
Jamie Palmer –
Do I need this for the sovol sv01 while running the ezboard 1.2?

Tim Hoogland –
Typically, yes. If you have 2x Z motor plugs on your machine this will allow you to connect the 2 motors to one Z motor header.
